Shelby County YR’s donate $2000 to TYRF PAC

Friends,

I first want to thank the more than 50 Young Republicans who attended Rechartering and made the event such a great success.  Congratulations to every county that chartered including new clubs in Gibson, Loudon, Maury, Sullivan and Washington Counties.

Speakers

I also want to thank our distinguished speakers who gave up part of their Saturday afternoon to address our members.  Those speakers include:

  • TN GOP Chairman Chris Devaney,
  • TN Eagle Forum President Bobbie Patray,
  • Rep. Josh Evans,
  • Rep. Susan Lynn, and,
  • Rep. Debra Maggart.

PAC

Due to the generosity of our individual members, our member clubs, and various friends of the organization, the Tennessee Young Republicans PAC has now collected over $10,000.  With our previous goal surpassed at Rechartering, we now look to raise $15,000 to support Republican candidates across Tennessee this fall.

I want to thank the following clubs that have contributed funds to the PAC.  These clubs include:

  • Blount County YRs
  • Cumberland County Republican Party
  • Cumberland County YRs
  • Davidson County YRs
  • Jefferson County YRs
  • Montgomery County YRs
  • Shelby County YRs
  • Williamson County YRs

If you wish to contribute to the Tennessee Young Republicans PAC, you can do so at:www.tennesseetomorrow.com/ donate.

Appointment

I’m pleased to announce that Derek Graham (Cumberland) will serve as Webmaster for the remainder of the 2009-2011 term.

We will soon have an events calendar on the website available for individual clubs to promote their upcoming events.  If you wish to post an event or have any suggestions for the website, email Derek at captgraham@gmail.com.

Board Meeting

If any clubs are interested in hosting the Second Quarter Board Meeting, please send your ideas to chairman@tennesseetomorrow.com

*If more than one club expresses interest, our constitution requires the appointment of a committee to determine the meeting location.

Special Thanks

Thank you to Laura Bond (Williamson) and the Cumberland County Young Republicans for all their hard work behind the scenes prior to Rechartering.  Without their efforts, the event would not have been as successful.

In Republican Service,

Jeremy Durham
Chairman
Tennessee Young Republican Federation, Inc.
