Friends,

Election Day 2010 is only a few weeks away and it seems clear that 2010 will be an extremely successful year for Republican candidates across Tennessee and the rest of the nation.

If you have not already done so, I encourage you to find a campaign and do your part to help in what will likely be a historic year for our party in Tennessee.  If you do not know where to go, we can help you find a candidate in your area.

Grassroots Opportunities

We will also have opportunities for YRs from across the state to come together and help Republican candidates in some of the year’s most highly-contested races.  It will be a great chance to network with other YRs and meet some of the current and future leaders in our state legislature while being productive in our efforts to elect Republican candidates.  Each date listed will provide significant time to get to know the candidate as well as help win a seat for our party.

Tentative schedule for grassroots:
  • 10/9 Tony Shipley (Kingsport), Don McLeary/Stephen Fincher (Jackson)
  • 10/30 Sheila Butt/Scott DesJarlais (Columbia)

If anyone wants to help in Jackson this Saturday, we will meet at 10 a.m. at the Madison County Republican Party Headquarters.
The address is: 250 Carriage House Dr. Jackson, TN 38305.

If anyone wants to go to Kingsport, contact Chris Rogers at: RogersChris.Rogers@gmail.com.  A group from Middle Tennessee will depart from 5837 Sterling Oaks Dr. in Brentwood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and stay both Friday and Saturday nights.

New Clubs

Congratulations to the newly-chartered Crockett County YRs and the Anderson County YRs.  Both chapters were voted on and approved today.  We look forward to great things from both clubs.

PAC

If you’re receiving this email, you probably assumed as much – but we’ve reached yet another milestone with our PAC.  We’ve now surpassed the $20,000 mark and we’re not stopping anytime soon.  We still hope to provide one last push of support for our candidates before the election, so please consider a donation if you have not done so already.

If you wish to contribute to the Tennessee Young Republicans PAC, you can do so at: www.tennesseetomorrow.com/donate or mail a check to TYRF PAC c/o Jeremy Durham 5837 Sterling Oaks Drive Brentwood, TN 37027.

Board Meeting

If any clubs are interested in hosting the Fourth Quarter Board Meeting, please send your ideas to chairman@tennesseetomorrow.com.  Per our constitution, the meeting must occur in either East or West Tennessee.
